I'm in search of some fun & easy Halloween crafts to do with the kids the next few days. I found some great ideas in a magazine called Family Fun. (And, their website is just as good, if not better!) After school tomorrow, we're making Paper Bag Gargoyles. They looked so easy & I know the kids would really enjoy making these.
This weekend, we are carving our pumpkin & toasting the pumpkin seeds. (The kids can hardly wait to eat more pumpkin seeds. They love them just about as much as I do!) And, Monday, we're making either a pumpkin cake or a graveyard dessert. I've made this graveyard dessert several times before & it's always lots of fun to make & to eat. It makes a great Halloween centerpiece!
(By the way, if you don't receive the wonderful Food & Family magazine from Kraft, you need to sign up for it ASAP! It's a great magazine & it's totally free!)
But, I'm searching for some other tried & true Halloween craft ideas that other kids have enjoyed creating. What are some things you have done or are planning on doing?

Thanks for the tip about the Kraft magazine - I signed up - I love that kind of stuff! By the way, you probably already know about this website, but www.bhg.com (Better Homes and Gardens) has some fun stuff under "Holidays" and "Family and Crafts." So, you could look there for some more craft ideas. That pumpkin cake looks absolutely wonderful!
I love Family Fun magazine. My subscription just expired, but I always sign up for magazines at a web site called www.netmagazines.com
They have a 5 magazines for $30 deal. Of course, there are only 160 to choose from for that offer, and some are totally lame. But, I can always find 5 I like. It's also a good idea for a Christmas gift. You can split up the subscriptions and send them to anyone you like. So there's 5 gifts for $30- who doesn't like a year of getting a fun magazine? Anyway, I need to go there and renew my family fun subscription and some others.
Thanks for the ideas, Rachel & Becky. I had never looked at bhg.com before, so it'll be neat to see their craft suggestions. And, I'm about to go pick out 5 magazines from netmagazines.com. Great tip!
So fun!! I signed up for the magazine -thanks for the tip. I am so not ready for Kimberlyn to not be a baby but after reading your blog about creating Halloween decorations and cooking pumpkins seeds, I feel so much more at peace and even looking forward to Kimberlyn growing up. It is just going way too fast. I only have 1 1/2 months before Kimber turns 1!!!
I signed up for the magazine too! Thanks for telling us about it! I can't wait for Caleb to get bigger so that we can do all the fun crafts and activities. My mom always had things planned for us around each of the holidays, and it was so much fun!
