We didn't know where to go 'cause we weren't familiar with the area and ended up at a beach called Driftwood beach, great for swimming, and there was also a floating barge bar called "Arizona", which I remember seeing from Tamra's blog(when it was still set to Public). With regards to driving, Subic Freeport zone is run like and American City, you run a STOP sign and you will be ticketed. And the cops can't be bribed unlike Manila cops who routinely accept payments. So we had to pay a 200 peso fine (not bad) at an office next to the Brent School. We also got to check out "Puregold", which is like a COSTCO, with some items even priced in US dollars. We concluded the day along the "Boardwalk", in one of the many restaurants, where we had our dinner. Saw a couple of probably former American servicemen with Filipina gfs or wives. This area is nice, but could still improve with lanscaping and more private investments, new condos, for example. Also, authorities should do something about those aggressive street vendors who intrude just to offer you whatever goods they have. Annoying. Now, I'm back in the States, I'm learning more about the attractions in the area. I will be back again on my next visit to the Phils. and make sure to stay a little longer. Thank you.

RickAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17273826.post-68603515992870579532011-01-12T21:05:26.399-06:002011-01-12T21:05:26.399-06:00Having a family like yours in the country only enh...Having a family like yours in the country only enhances the beauty of the Philippines.
